About our Company

Personal Care Ambulance was founded in 1994 with a single mission of providing quality, professional and compassionate care.

We are committed to implementing our mission by hiring the best People, focusing on providing a high quality Service, and investing in continued Growth!

Management Team

Diana & Bernie Cignavitch Owners

Moved to Charleston in 1994 and became Certified through DHEC.

Early on - they handled all of the transports. This background gave them a clear understanding of exactly what it takes to provide a high quality service in which the local community has come to rely.

They are both college educated, and are always looking to improve the operation.

Edmond Borja Director

Born in the Philippines, grew up in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Been with Personal Care since 1997. Served as a Hospital Corpsman In the U.S. Navy for 5 years from 1994 to 1999. Honorably Discharged.

Employed with Charleston County as a Paramedic Crew chief from 1999 till 2004. Became a Manager with Personal Care In 2008. To this day Maintains his Duties in the Personal Care fleet as a full time Paramedic.

Training

Training is a high priority with Personal Care Ambulance. Our training meets and exceeds state and national requirements. We provide monthly in-service training for our employees, as well as our communities and contracted facilities.
